With the development of industry and science, especially power electronics,electric equipments become popular gradually. Due to conventional methods of powersupply is almost adopted direct electrical contacting mode, but this method is poormobile flexible, unsafe, especially not appropriate for severe environments (underwater,wet, etc). This method can not meet the needs for society development. So with thisproblem caused a technology with a non-direct contact way to transmit electrical energy,namely wireless power transmission technique.In recent years, in the wireless power transmission technique field, the wirelesspower transmission technique based on the electric field coupling technique because ofits unique advantages got many domestic and foreign scientific research workers andthe government’s attention. ECPT technology is short for the electrical-field coupledpower transfer technology. This technology comprehensive utilization of the modernpower electronic energy transform technique, electric field coupling technique, highpower high frequency conversion technology, with the aid of modern control theory andmethod, realized the wireless power transmission. This technology provides a new wayfor wireless power transmission technique, it is good for promoting further developmentand application of wireless power transmission technique, it has high practical value.This paper focuses on the exploratory research of the ECPT technology. Firstly, itexpounds the international research status about ECPT technology, and its challengesand future development trend. And introduce the basic working principles andcharacteristics of ECPT system.Then the commonly used topological structure and the tuning method of ECPTsystem are carried on the detailed analysis, and put forward a new suitable topologicalstructure for ECPT system.This paper mainly focuses on the research of the main circuit of new ECPTtopological structure and the analysis of coupled institutions of ECPT system. In maincircuit study of ECPT system includes, system main circuit π network analysis, systemsoft switch realize of energy transmitter, the constant pressure control of output, thedrive circuit and control circuit, etc. And in the coupling institutions analysis of ECPTsystem mainly includes, several common coupling institutions, equivalent capacitanceanalysis method of coupling institutions, several medium material applied for ECPT system, etc.Finally this paper builds the simulation model in MATLAB/Simulink and Maxwellsimulation environment and has the system simulation analysis. Meanwhile, on thebasis of the theoretical analysis and the simulation analysis, experimental equipmentwas set up, and verified by tests in the prototype equipment with50W transmissionpower.
