Dual-clutch transmission and double-turbine torque converter’s flexible flywheel isthe newly developed type which has applied the design of a two-body flexplate in orderto solve the traditional one-piece flexible flywheel is flawed by easy generation crack,deformation, broken and so on, and it has a very good effect on reducing thetransmission of the transverse vibration and alleviating the impact of the transmission.The rationality of the design directly affects the vehicle comfort and the reliability of theworking parts. Therefore, researching on characteristic of dual-clutch transmission anddouble-turbine torque converter’s two-body flexible flywheel has the vital significance.The current development status and development trend of the dual-clutchtransmission and double-turbine torque converter’s flexible flywheel are systematicallyresearched, and the key parts of intensity examination computation in the two-bodyflywheel have been completed. Through researching the issue of the flexplate’s designby the further use of the FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis technology, proposesand discusses the design and optimization method and mode of dual-clutch transmissionand double-turbine torque converter’s flexible flywheel based on theoretical calculationand FEA(Finite Element Analysis), and the method and mode is used in the concreteanalyze, design and optimization of the he dual-clutch transmission and double-turbinetorque converter’s two-body flexible flywheel. The calculation is verified byexperiments which provides the basis of feasible design and analysis method for thedesign of this kind of products. The main research as follows:①The paper also theoretically analyzes he key parts of dual-clutch transmissionand double-turbine torque converter’s flexible flywheel, such as starter gear rim,involute cylindrical spline, bolt and so on.②Corresponding3D modeling of the dual-clutch transmission and double-turbinetorque converter’s flexible flywheel has been constructed by virtue of the softwarePro/Engineer, and further comparative analysis between one-body flywheel andtwo-body flywheel has been studied in terms of structural stress, modal, and harmonicby the finite element software ANSYS Workbench, so that it can validates therationality of the design of the structure of dual-clutch transmission and double-turbinetorque converter’s flexible flywheel, and identifies the two-body flywheel’s advantages.③The flexplate is an important part of the flywheel assembly, its axial stiffness directly influence the axial vibration reduction characteristics. Under the condition ofsatisfying intensity and rigidity, the flexplate should make a certain axial flexibility,while the axial amplitude of assembly should be smaller. Through the change ofexternal flexplate’s type line, and get an "ideal characteristics" structural line after usingANSYS Workbench software to analyze the curves in order to achieve the dynamicrequirements. Experimental result verifies the accuracy of analysis method and therationality of product structure.④A CAD(Computer Aided Design) software system for the design and analysis ofthe flywheel new constrain line under the windows environment is developed anddesigned, and the CAD software system has been applied in the company.In this paper, the optimized flywheel dual-clutch transmission and double-turbinetorque converter’s flexible flywheel, has novel structure, which is structural style notonly satisfies the condition of strength but also meet the the dynamic characteristics ofthe structure. Relative to the transmission one-body flywheel and unoptimized two-bodyflywheel, the new type of dual-clutch transmission and double-turbine torqueconverter’s flexible flywheel has better vibration suppression.
