Gasoline engine generator is an equipment that produces exportable electricity, Itworks by gasoline engine driving a dynamo to work.The dynamo is normally aynchronous AC generator, the output frequency is related to revolving speed of gasolineengine.To guarantee the power quality of generator,a speed controller is needed toadjust the rotation speed of gasoline engine.At present,most of the speed controllor ismechanical governor,because the mechanical governor itself has the defect of hystereticinertia and big frictional resistance, it inevitably has the weakness of long adjusttime,poor stability and poor reliability.With the fast development of economic andsociety, the use of combustion engines has become increasingly prevalent, the energyand environmental problems become more and more prominent,the higher requirementabout the control accuracy and discharge of combustion engine is expected.The digitalelectronic governor is the advanced governing system,can vastly improve the speedadjusting performance of gasoline engine generator, makes up the inherent deficiency ofmechanical governor,and the governor can be improved by using advanced controlmethod.At present,the similar digital electronic governors on the market are all used fordiesel,can’t directly used for gasoline engine.So it is imperative to develop a newdigital electronic governor with high reliability,high generality and reasonable price,andit will have broad market prospect.The paper analyzes the characteristic and mathematical model of gasolineengine,mainly research the design of digital electronic governor,and then carry out thesimulationg and experiment,finally,analyzes the energy-saving characteristic of digitalelectronic governor.In the analyses of the gasoline characteristics,we obtaine that the working processof gasoline has uncertainty, timeinvariance and nonlinearity,it is hard to establish theaccurate mathematical model of gasoline engine, for the particular system the paperdesign a governor for gasoline generator based on fuzzy sliding mode control.Slidingmodel variable control has the advantage of fast response,good robustness,withouton-line identification, and simple physical implementation.the only disadvantage is thechattering phenomenon.For the problem,the article introduce fuzzy control into slidingmode control,using fuzzy control rule to soften control signal,which can weaken thechattering phenomenon.Because the main disturbance in the system is load mutation,the paper design a feedforward compensation control system based on loadmutation.Finally,the simulation of the designed controlor is carrid out in MATLAB.According to the designed controlor,the paper give the method and process ofhardware design and software design.Hardware design mainly include: controllermodule, measure of rotate speed module, actuator module, led display module,powermodule,and current measurement module.Software design mainly include: controlstrategy calculation module, idling module,start module,halt module, load currentmeasurement module and display module.Installing the designed digital electronic governor on the JINLONG2.0GFgasoline engine generator to carry out experiment.The result show that the digitalelectronic governor has better steady-state speed performance and dynamicspeedgoverning performance.The governor has simple design,high reliability and bigpractical value.
