Functional complexity of modern architecture, innovative design, resulting in thesplit-level,cross-large, high conversion, a large open, large cantilever and other complexstructure, especially when these projects located in high-intensity zone, the seismicperformance of structural engineers face enormous challenges, there is an urgent need toresearch and summarize the structural system and seismic performance of the similarprojects.Take the Lueyang Stadium as engineering background, this paper discusses theselection of structural and conceptual design of the stadium. Take the stadiums thatexperienced the Wenchuan earthquake as examples, this paper explains the use of theconcept design. Aim at the structural features of the project located in a high intensity (8degrees) district, having large open and long span (36.5m), through the comparison andanalysis, the large cross-beam structural program is selected, the steel reinforcedconcrete frame shear wall system is put forward. Meanwhile, the comparison of theseismic performance between the above-mentioned system and the general frame shearwall system is carried out.Aim at the difficulty of such complex structures in engineering design such as thedisplacement ratio control of a large open split-level structure, the entire analysis ofconcrete structure and steel truss, the choose of the hybrid structure’s damping ratiovalue and the analysis of the long span steel beams with the concealed bracings, thispaper chooses the engineering software SATWE, PMSAP and general finite elementanalysis software MIDAS GEN, carries out the reaction time spectral analysis andelastoplastic analysis of the project, studies the seismic performance of the project, summarizes the experience in the design of such complex structures, and provides areference for the design and construction of the future similar projects.
