Research On The Creative Building Renovation Methods In The Contemporary

According to the development of architecture renovation during these years, there is abundant of excellent works, including many projects with creative renovation methods. Depending on the developing of Media society, it brings numerous new characteristics into the architecture renovation: such as pursuit of fantasy effects of the building fa?ade with abstract pattern; mixing design elements of personal experience and re-energizing the old building; pursuing interior surreal scene by modern aesthetics and technology; etc. The design concepts of these outstanding works get rid out of the inherent thinking and obtain unusual features. The research on these creative methods of building renovation brings benefits to architects to keep insight on contemporary design trends, direct architects to finish renovation works which meet the requirements of contemporary society. This thesis analyzes study cases of creative building renovation in recent years. Based on numbers of renovation cases, it finds out the discipline of these creative renovations, Summarizes the specific application of specific techniques. It generalizes the building renovation from three aspects:exterior renovation method for old building, interior renovation method for old building, and in-between renovation method for space between old and new buildings. For each aspect, this thesis refines design skills from specific approaches, researches on subtle differences between similar approaches. From that, it sums up series of experience and techniques which can be directly applied to architecture practice. It brings great influence on better understanding contemporary design practice of building renovation, and making prediction on the trends of building renovation application.
