Swing hydraulic motor is one of the most important actuator in hydraulic technology,its performance directly iMPact on the stability and reliability of the whole system.Thegeneral swing hydraulic motors can only achieve one rotation speed and one torque outputunder the condition of invariable rate of flow and invariable pressure. In view of thisshortage, this paper proposes a double-stator swing hydraulic motor which can realizemultistage speed and torque output only through changing its connections, don’t need touse a throttle valve or pressure reducing valve, reduced the energy consumption andimproved efficiency.On the basis of a brief overview to the existing swing hydraulic motor, the articlepresented the double-stator swing hydraulic motor. After introduced the working principleof the double-stator swing motor and the definition of symbols, we analysed the angularvelocity and torque of single-acting double-stator swing hydraulic motor ,and a differentialconnection method was put forward. The output angular velocity and torque in a variety ofconnections for double-acting and triple-acting double-stator swing hyraulic motors werediscussed in details. The results show that this new kind of hyraulic motors can better meetthe actual requirements and has broadly potential applications.The paper also analyzed therelationship between different output torque of the swing motor, provides theory basis forthe swing motor design and choose.According to the working principle of double-stator swing hydraulic motordesigned a kind of model machine. With 3d modeling software Solidworks established 3dmodel of the motor, and completed the mechanical analysis and optimization design tomain components of the motor using finite element analysis software AnsysWorkbench.This paper analyzed the leakage channels of the double-stator swing hydraulic motor , andcalculated the leakage of inner and outer motors respectively in detailed, deduced thevolume efficiency.Designed the experimental test platform of the double-stator swing hydraulic motor,did the principle experiment and basic performance test.The experimental results verified the correctness of the working principle of the double-stator swing hydraulic motor,provided experiment basis for improvement design of the double-stator swing hydraulicmotor.
