At the present time, in order to prevent the increasing private transport fromentering city center, the efficient alternative means of travel should be proposed. Moreimportant roles are placed on urban public transportation due to the population growthand expansion of urban areas. However, neither the conventional bus nor the railtransit service is sufficient to serve the various of demands due to their respectivelimitations. The widely accepted solution now is an integrated public transit systemcombining rail and bus services to meet the demand either jointly or individually, andcomplement each other to achieve better operating performance and stimulatedemand.Therefore, the study on the urban rail transit feeder bus routes optimization is made.In this thesis, four main aspects are studied that is mechanisms of urban railtransit—feeder bus system;service characteristic of urban rail transit feeder bussystem;models and algorithms of urban rail transit feeder bus network optimization;urban rail transit feeder bus routes optimization and adjustment. In the study ofmechanisms of urban rail transit-feeder bus system, the advantages and disadvantagesof bus and rail transit are analyzed, and the conformity of bus and rail transit is putforward. In the study of service characteristic of urban rail transit feeder bus system,the trip costs of passengers are analyzed, the model of marginal trip distance isconstructed, and the layout region of feeder bus routes is analyzed. In the models andalgorithms of urban rail transit feeder bus network optimization, the model of theurban rail transit feeder bus network optimization is constructed, base on the target ofthe minimum time cost and operation cost, the GA is built for the model. In theresearch of urban rail transit feeder bus routes optimization and adjustment, the adjustmeasurements of bus routes are analyzed, and the layout of feeder bus routes isstudied. The planning of rail feeder bus routes in Daxing, Beijing is taken as actualexample for study in this thesis.The study on the urban rail transit feeder bus routes optimization has the extremelyvital significance to the city development. Because of this, the urban rail transit feederbus routes optimization is studied and actual example is given in this thesis. It canoffer reference for the scientific decision of the optimization of urban rail transitfeeder bus routes in certain degree.
