Reinforced concrete slab-column system is a simple structure with reduced building height, flexible plane arrangement, convenient construction, short construction period and other advantages. The key influence on the mechanical behavior of slab-column structure is the capacity of slab columnconnection carrying vertical shear and unbalanced moment. With the development of computertechnology and the finite element theory, the finite element numerical simulation technology is animportant approach in the research of reinforced concrete structure performance. The numericalsimulation technology and the capacity of slab-column connection based on beam analogy approachare studied. The main contents are as following:1. The mechanics performance of interior and edge slab-column connections under the verticaland horizontal loads are Simulated and analyzed by finite element software ABAQUS. Throughcomparing with test measure results, the finite element numerical simulation results turn out to behigher reliability and accuracy applied to reinforced concrete slab-column structure.2. Under the vertical shear and unbalanced moment combined action, the computational formulaof interior connection’s capacity suggested by “Code for design of concrete structures” based oneccentric shear model has a high accuracy, but it can not provide an accurate presentation on thecapacity in edge connection without spandrel beam due to unbalanced moment transfer.3. The equilibrium equations of slab-column interior connection and edge connection withoutspandrel beam are established by means of beam analogy approach. The influence of slab’s steel ratioon pure torsional strength of slab-column joints can be ignored. According to pre-existing test results, the pure torsional strength’s formulas on the side face torsional beam of critical section for interiorconnection and edge connection without spandrel beam are established respectively, which arerelevant to critical section geometry size and concrete compressive strength.4. Considering shear and torsion simultaneously acts on the side face torsional beam of criticalsection, the relationship equations on torsion and shear for interior connection and edge connectionwithout spandrel beam under combined action of shear and torsion are set up. Then, the bearingcapacity calculation formulas of interior connection and edge connection without spandrel beambased on beam analogy approach are obtained and verified by vast quantities of test results. Thecalculation formulas provide a theory basis for the application of beam analogy approach on edgeconnection with spandrel beam.
