In daily life, linear motion or reciprocal motion can be seen everywhere. The traditionaltransmission device has a complex structure, poor controllability, and low transmission efficiency.Linear motor can directly convert electrical energy into the mechanical energy of linear motion,without any intermediate conversion. Compared with the traditional transmission device, thetransmission device using linear motor has special advantages such as simple structure, reliableoperation, high transmission efficiency, easy in maintenance and so on. So linear motor has beenapplied in many industrial fields, and will be more and more widely used. Therefore, a thorough studyof linear motor is necessary.The main purpose of this paper is to design the all-digital vector control system of linear motor.According to the requirement of precision positioning of feeding device for machining center, theposition control system of the linear induction motor is researched in this paper. According to therequirement of high speed for modeling aircraft launching device, the speed control system of thepermanent magnet linear synchronous motor is researched in this paper.Firstly, the development and performance advantages of linear motor are described in this paper,and the application of linear induction motor and permanent magnet synchronous linear motor areintroduced respectively. The advantages and disadvantages of different control strategies in the ACservo system are listed, and the difference between linear motor and rotary motor control system isgiven out.Secondly, a mathematical analysis of linear induction motor is made. According to the actualstructure of prototype, the equivalent circuit and the establishment of the mathematical model aregiven out, and the vector control strategy based on the rotating induction motor is corrected. Then theposition control system of the linear induction motor is established using Matlab/Simulink. And thenmuch study has been done to verify the feasibility and correctness of the control systems mentioned.Then, basing on the theoretical analysis and the study of simulation, the program of the vector controlsystem of linear motor based on TMS320F2812is compiled in this paper. The software of the systemis utilized modular structure and completed in the Code Composer Studio2environment using Clanguage. And also, the relevant experiments and analysis has been done, and the position control ofthe linear induction motor has been realized. Thirdly, the optimization design of permanent magnet motor is done in ANSOFT, and the speedcontrol system of the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor is established in Matlab/Simulink.Then, much study has been done to verify the feasibility and correctness of the control systemsmentioned. Finally, the software mentioned is modified, then the relevant experiments and analysishave been done, and the speed control of the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor has beenrealized.
