| When the displacement high speed craft with Froude number based on length between0.3and0.7, round&knuckle craft(R&K craft) combine with both advantages of round andknuckle craft, and become a craft with good performance. Due to the sophistication of thehull lines of this craft, traditional design method may spend much time to change the designif some parameters have to change, so parametric design is necessary for this craftconfiguration.This paper firstly summarize the hull lines and characteristics of hull geometry ofround craft and knuckle craft, then, it depicts the craft configuration of round&knucklecraft, after careful consideration,27design parameters are confirmed in order to build theparametric process.Base on the characteristics of NAPA software and combine with theories of parametricdesign, the method of parametric design of round&knuckle craft can be made up, usingNAPA Basic language to build macro design process, craft configuration made by thisprocess can be visible, be easily created and modified, moreover, this process can create aseries of hull configurations of round&knuckle craft with different length of knuckle hulllines and transverse deadrises. This process has good ability in flexible and functional.According to the parametric model, using Fluent software to analyze its resistanceperformance and using Maxsurf software to analyze the rolling performance, aftercomprehensively research, it can conclude that round&knuckle craft has betterperformance than round craft, while the craft configuration are divided into10steps, round&knuckle craft with length of hull lines in1.5step can obtain perfectly performance.Based on R&K craft, this paper confirm the design parameters and build theparametric macro process, also, it research on resistance and rolling performance of thiscraft. |
