The seat is a very important part which influences comfort of vehicle. Modernvehicle, especially engineering vehicles, trucks, military vehicles and so on.Because their suspension system is worse and the environment of road which theywork at is extremely bad. Vehicles vibrate seriously when working on bad road fora long time, thus makes the drivers of these vehicles suffer from high strength ofthe low frequency vibration, which will significantly affect their health, andreduce work efficiency. The seat suspension, as one part of decreasing vibration ofvehicle, is easy to be improved and has great influence on the vibrationperformance, so we research seat suspension system. Improving vehicle comfortby changing seat suspension will become a very effective way.This dissertation will take semi-active suspension of seat based MR damperas the research object, discuss and research the key technologies which helprealize control of seat suspension system. The major content of this dissertationincludes how to make use results of MR damper characteristic test is to get thecoefficients of MR damper polynomial model, establishing mathematical model ofseat suspension and how to design fuzzy control strategy and LMS adaptivecontrol strategy which are suitable for control system of seat suspension based onMR damper in this dissertation. Finally,we use Matlab/Simulink to simulate thecontrol system.In the dissertation, the concrete work is divided into the following aspects:(1) Accomplish feature experiment of the given MR damper, the polynomialmodel of a given MR damper is identified by polynomial fitting which is achievedrelying on Matlab using the experimental results, establish simulation program ofa given MR damper by Matlab/Simulink, do dynamic simulation experiment forthe polynomial model of a given MR damper, and compare the results and simulation results, so that we inspect whether the polynomial model isappropriate.(2)Research and analyze the knowledge about people’s vibrationcharacteristic which has existed, and establish mathematical model of seatsuspension system by combining practical situation, laying the foundation forprogramming seat semi-active suspension control system.(3)Establish proper fuzzy control strategy and LMS adaptive control strategy.(4) Programming seat semi-active suspension control system about the abovetwo control strategies, and simulate for them. Finally, we get the best controlstrategy by comparing the simulation results.
