With the continuous development of the building retrofitting industry, buildings’reinforcement and reconstruction theory and technology have developed rapidly, and obtainedremarkable economic and social benefits. In the actual Retrofitting Project, often involves theconnection of old and new concrete.Performance of new to old concrete interface directlyaffect the performance of the overall retrofitting structure. However, the studies on thebonding methods and the dynamic performance is few.So the research on bonding methodsand dynamic performance of new to old concrete interface is significant and value. In this paper, through structural test methods and numerical simulation, the dynamicperformance of the new to old concrete interface is studied and analyzed. Shear capacity andfailure characteristics is measured, under different anchorage rate. Based on the measuredP—Δ hysteresis curve, the ductility, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation of new toold concrete interface are analyzed. The mechanical characteristics of the bonded rebars arestudied. This article put forward the new to old concrete interface shear capacity formula.Theresults show that, anchorage method to connect the new and old concrete interface caneffectively increase the interface shear capacity, improve the ductility and energy dissipationproperties, slow the stiffness degradation. These results as above have the certain reference for the further study of the bondingmethods and performance of new to old concrete interface, and can also perfect the criterionabout the design of the concrete reinforcement and reconstruction, witch are available foractual reconstruction project design and construction.
