Row pile support is a kind of common foundation pit supporting structure form.Due to prevent damage and control the deformation of foundation pit excavation well,multi-pivots piles structure is widely used in loess area However, the understanding ofthe working mechanism and the work traits are still to be improving, and the method ofcalculation and design needs to be improved. More on the multi-pivots piles researchof calculation and method has the important theoretical and practical significance inengineering.This art analyses multi-pivots piles structure from the conventional calculationmethod and numerical method. In view of the characteristics of loess, differentmethods are used to analyse and compare soil pressure, the depth of protecting piles,internal force, supporting structure deformation, and foundation pit stability,then weget the applicability of common calculation method in loss area. In the light of themethod such as the more commonly used elastic fulcrum method and the thickness ofsupport for the equivalent substitution wants the basis of simulation at present,Amethod is put forward according to the pile soil area on board the equivalent stiffnessdistribution. The calculation results of the loess foundation pit engineering is close tothe measured results,so this method is reasonable.
