Reinforced concrete frame structure has been widely used in practice, casualtiesand economic losses caused by the earthquake were mainly due to the destruction andcollapse of the buildings. Studying on the seismic vulnerability of structures, couldestimate the damage that may occur when the structure suffer an earthquake in thefuture, meanwhile it has an important significance for improving the seismic capacityand disaster prevention and mitigation work. This article took reinforced concrete framestructure as the object of study, then a systematic study of its seismic vulnerability wasperformed.The research content in this paper is listed as follows:Probabilistic seismic demand analysis of structure. Taking the structurerandomness and the ground motion randomness into consideration, samples of structurewere generated through the Monte Carlo simulation method while the ground motionsamples were built by the real vast ground motion record database, then the "seismicground motion-structure" samples were obtained. Adopting the finite elementcomputing platform, each sample’s response was calculated by the dynamic historyanalysis.In the end, the relationship between structural seismic demand parametersand the intensity of ground motion parameters was gotten.Probability seismic capacity analysis of structure.Taking the randomness of thestructure’s seismic capacity into consideration, using Monte Carlo simulation togenerate100random samples, Pushover analysis was performed to each sample byfinite element computing platform,the statistical characteristic value were gotten bystatistical analysis in the end. The method of seismic vulnerability analysis of structure was researched.According to the probabilistic seismic demand analysis and the probability seismiccapacity of structure, the conditional probability of a different intensity of seismicground motion Seismic demand exceeding the corresponding seismic capacity for thestructure was calculated against the four damage states. Through a large number ofcomputational analyze, two kind of seismic fragility curves of RC frame were obtainedultimately, which took the Max Inter-Story Displacement Angle and Max Roofdisplacement Angle as engineering demand parameter, the comparative analysis wasperformed between those two curves..
