Tower cranes are indispensable lifting equipment in modern construction, the safeoperation is an important symbol of construction safety. In the use of tower cranes, withthe increasing of construction height and strength, leading to the tower crane collapsed,arm machines crash and other serious accidents high frequency. According to analysismuch tower crane accident cause, this topic found that the majority of tower craneaccident caused by the fatigue damage of structural. In this context, through the study offatigue development status at home and abroad, take QTZ4510tower as the researchobject, and carry on research the fatigue mechanism. The main work as follows:1. The theoretical analysis of the metal components of fatigue damage property. Bystudy fatigue theoretical knowledge, described the current research of metal damage theory,and summarizes the metal components of fatigue damage factors. Combined with theactual characteristics of the tower crane, obtained the type of tower crane fatigue.2. Create a finite element model of the tower crane. Set up the finite element modelof the QTZ4510tower by the ANSYS soft ware, and combined to typical workingconditions static analysis to get operation under stress in the tower. Through analyzingthe overload, the modal analysis and the harmonious response, determined the fatiguedamage tower is easy to appear dangerous position.3. Analyze welding strength of tower crane. Combined with tower crane ownwelding structure characteristics, analysis the influence factors of the weld strength,through the investigation the accident of tower, the cargo boom and tower welding thedestruction causes of happened and position, and sums up the measures to improve theweld strength.4. Analysis fatigue crack of tower crane. Through analyzing the mechanical characteristics of cargo tower,by the damage mechanics and fracture mechanics theoryto analyse the formation of the fatigue crack and extend, established the forecastingmethod of tower fatigue crack life.
