This paper through the analysis of the iron and steel plant intersection traffic flowand production logistics characteristics, based on the previous intersection optimizationmethod, researches on the kind of iron and steel industry as the process productionprocessing factory’s in-plant Road intersection as the research object, the integrated useof traffic control and management, operations research, transportation systemengineering, traffic flow, artificial intelligence and computer theory and technology,combined with the iron and steel enterprise production process, it has established a setof large-scale iron and steel enterprise oriented road intersection traffic flowoptimization and guidance theory methods and examples of analysis and trafficsimulation to prove that of practice and guidance, as well as the research directioncorrectness. The research mainly includes the following several aspects of the analysisand research..At the intersection of the optimization problem, mainly researching steel plant roadintersection optimization from the traffic management and control and traffic routeselection optimization. The first step is time optimization: a condition is to see a freerunning intersection traffic is smooth, whether need to optimize. If the traffic isrelatively large, we determine whether need to set the signal control managementaccording to the improved traffic volume basis. If needed, we make the trafficsimulation evaluation according to the signal lamp setting method for intersectionreasonable signal timing; another kind of circumstance, judged by a signal roadintersection signal timing scheme, is suitable for this intersection vehicle runningsituation, if not suitable to timing and simulation evaluation, testing new scheme optimization. At the end of the time limit of the material in the intersectionstransportation need to be special optimization. Second step is the space optimization:combining iron and steel plant, the transportation status and process limit line transportrequirements of the factory’s busy intersections in this factory, we reduce the amount oftraffic optimization based on every two workshop transport shortest path.
