XLPE power cable has been under development in science and technology gradually and begun to apply in many ways for nearly twenty years. The reaserch of XLPE power cable insulation state of online is popular either at home or abroad, and the most important results in many parts of the state are carried on the main insulation.This paper describes the importance of the cable grounding system, focusing on a single-grounded analysis of the relevant circumstances. And modeling and analysis that are at the laying of the metallic layer under the EMF, and also depicts the operation under normal and exceptional circumstances, such as the role of over-voltage, lightning, short circuit protection layer of metal such as EMF’s formula; established models, which is about the metal sheath XLPE power cable ground sensors circulation model, and the circuit model grounded capacitor current; also be related to ground current formula, the induced current could then be ground, but also there are some special circumstances, including insulation failure and grounding system defects, and so on.Three-stage conversion method is a common method of laying power cables, so you can achieve the purpose of reducing the sheath voltage.
