This topic originates from a innovation project on a carburetor production line. The Processing Technology and Automated Level of the original production line could not satisfy the enterprise’s development. In order to improve the production efficiency and process quality, the carburetor automatic production line based on PLC was designed and developed.First, the process of production line was analyzed, and the overall design proposal of production line was determined. The guide plate which was a kind of Quick Die Change device was designed, combining the designing concept of the Lean Production. Secondly, design requirements, steps and basic structur of PLC control system were proposed.The PLC control system design is composed of the hardware design and the software design. The hardware design is mainly made up of the control system electric circuit’s design, the electric appliance part’s shaping, the PLC shaping and the PLC input/output module’s design. And, in order to guarantee the system’s stability and the extension, the control system takes the Mitsubishi FX series PLC with high performance as the controller. Software design is the core of PLC control system design. The overall structure of the program adopted module design and leapfrog design. Modular design makes the function of each program module isolated and provides a clear structure, leapfrog design can makes the conversion flexible among each program module, which makes Program easy to understand and improves the design efficiency of the program. All of these make the program easy to understand, maintain and be updated in the future.Finally, The control system was put into use after the success of assembly and debugging. The production proved that the control system running well. the production efficiency and process quality have been greatly improved...
