Fuel pump is the important part in the fuel system of aero-engine, with the working performance development of the aero-engine .the performance requirements for the fuel pump is even higher. The methods, only through traditional physical experiments, take much time, and change parameters and conditions of piston pump difficultly, sometimes even can’t be realized, for researching the working characteristics of fuel piston pump. Because of a lot of non-linear factors in the hydraulic systems of fuel piston pump, so the results of analysis for fuel piston pump by common mathematical theory are far away with the real status. For improving the performance of the fuel pump, it is necessary to study the characteristic of hydraulic system of the fuel pump.In thi thesis, the way combined into the theory analysis and simulation is used to research the characteristic of flow and pressure pulsation of the fuel pump. The main content is as follows:1. The research object in this thesis is a certain type of an aero-engine fuel pump. The motion equation of piston was deduced by analayzing the structure characteristic of the piston fuel pump. The mathematical models of piston were established with the anlge of swash plate and shaft changed. Through analyzing the power flow direction of the fuel pump, the power pond graph of the fuel pump was builded.2. Based on the mathematical model of instantaneous flow delivery, the computional programm was generated in the matlab.3. The mechanism, hydraulic simulation model and regulator model were established by the bond power graph. The mechanism model contains torquemoment model and rotate speed model. The hydraulic model is composed of flow model, champer model and load model. The regulator model consists of constant pressure drop valve and control models. The hydraulic model of the fuel pump was accomplished by connecting the submodels. This modeling method, which not only has trait of traditional method, but also contains association and supporting of models, the volumetric, pressure and torque losses of the fuel pump were considered in.4. Based upon the model of the fuel pump, the flow pulsation of the fuel pump and pressure change in the chamber of piston were analyzed in the different structure parameters and setting conditions. Through compared with the result of theory, the simulation analysis is correct and viable. Finally, the displacement and flow characteristic of the regulator were analyzed. The results of simulation provide evidence for performance prediction and structure optimization of the fuel pump.
