Air transport industry of our country has developed rapidly since the reform andopenness, the management of civil aviation transportation industry has transformed formextensive to intensive.so, the airline network developed from city-to-city system to hub-and-spoke system in order to meet the increasing demand for air tansport. The airline network ofthe hub-and-spoke systerm can improve the efficiency and reduce the cost of the airlinenetwork greatly ,because its some prominent advantages of excellent accessibility、flexibilityand good economy、convenience and so on,and it has became the airline network which beused commonly by developed countries. The design of hub-and-spoke airline network can beregarded as a complex issues involving a variety of factors. Hub-airport site selection isfoundation of network construction and one of the key steps.On the basic of learning from and absorb the existing research results, this paper haspresent the hub-airport site selection and network optimization model of hub and spoke routenetwork hub port,which based on the optimal weighted Euclidean steiner tree .Firstly, throughintroducting and analysing the status and background of China’s air transport, the paper haspointed out that the problems of China’s aviation network, and discussed the necessity andimportance of this research project. Then, the selection of hub-airport model of using thetomographic analysis has been established. The model can be used for airport grading, will bedivided into three categories, including the to be as the hub-airport , the possible hub-airportand the impossible hub-airport. So, determinating the final positon of hub-airport will be moreconvenient because of grading. Besides, based on the traditional Euclidean Steiner minimumtree,the new method of establishing the hub-and-spoke route network has been presented,which based on the optimal weighted Euclidean steiner tree . This method solves the problemof traditional research needed for a given hub port standby site and determined the number ofharbor of hub by enumeration method. And the hub-airport site selection and route networkoptimization can to be do at the same time, the hub-airport siting would to meet therequirement of route network development.so, the siting was more reasonable .Finally, thevalidation of the instance to prove the reliability of the method, this method can provide sometheoretical guidance for the location of the hub port in China’s hub and spoke route networkguide aviation optimal allocation of resources, efficiency and benefits of a win-win.
