With the development of power electronic technology, permanent magnet brushless DCmotor (PMBLDCM) is widely used as a new type of motor which not only avoids the noiseand sparks brought by DC motor’s mechanical commutation, but also maintains good startingcharacteristics and speed- regulating characteristics of DC motor. PMBLDCM owns obviousmerit in performance, and its structure also has particularity, which makes the study on itbecome meaningful. the conduction mode of PMBLDCM and Magnetic potential harmonichave great impact on motor’s performance.Through analyzing different conduction ways ofthree-phase winding, this paper concerns on the study and analyze the magnetic potential ofdifferent winding.Firstly, this paper studies the no-load magnetic field, and load magnetic fields ofpermanent brushless DC motor from analysing its magnetic field distribution, and makingrelated comparison and analysis by means of finite element analysis software Ansoft .Therelated characteristics analysis of brushless DC motor is followed,including the motorarmature reaction, average current and average electromagnetic torque, the cogging torqueand it’s weaken way. To study the characteristics of windings connection and conduction wayof the brushless DC motor, the motor winding connection and conduction mode areintroduced, and the winding utilization and the best conduction angles are analyzed. Secondly,through studyingΔand Y connection of the same motor, and analyzing the relationshipbetween three-phase winding’sΔconnection and Y connection through application, it can beconcluded that the three-phase winding’sΔconnection has more advantages than its Yconnection in some situation. Lastly, a discussion about Magnetic potential harmonics ofdifferent windings, comparison ofΔconnection of two poles of six slot winding, the poles onsix slot winding, the poles on three slot winding, two poles six slot connection winding, andcomparison of Magnetic potential harmonics whose many different windings’ connectionmodes such as these number of poles P = 1, P = 2 has been done in the paper.And throughcomparisonof magnetic potential harmonic content with different windings connection, agood reference is provided for PMBLDCM in choosing the best winding connection mode.
