At present, Conventional water treatment processes is the most commonly used indomestic water plant, the raw water was sent to the pipe network for water supply aftercoagulation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection.water treatment engineeringpractice shows that the coagulant dosage play an important role in processing, andaccurate dosing of coagulant required is the most critical issue for better coagulationeffect and economic benefits. Because the existing mixing equipment can not give fullplay to the characteristics of new type high efficient coagulant, and there have largeenergy consumption and other problems, so a new mesh mixture dosing device hasbeen developed.The main contents of this paper include three aspects: (1)the relationship betweenmixing uniformity and designing parameters(including mesh size.flow velocity .holespacing)is studied in the model experiment of dosing device; (2)according to themodel experiment,Turbidity removal by the best performance mixing of dosing deviceas ferric chloride be the coagulant is studied. (3) mixed mechanism: by turbulencetheory research.The model test results show that: for quadrilateral mixed feeding device, when theflow rate of 3.5m~3/ h, over-current hole size for the 6cm x 4cm, outlet hole betweenthe distance of 3.75cm, mixing uniformity is up to 96.8%; for the circular mixingfeeding device, flow rate of 2.5m~3/ h, round and round at a distance of 2.5cm, holespacing between 30°, mixing uniformity is up to 94.3%.Experimental results show that: the optimal parameters of coagulation conditions,quadrilateral and the circular mesh mixture dosing device removal rate of turbidityrespectively reached 95.23%, 92.64%, the coagulation effect is better than thetraditional single point administration mode.Through the model test and coagulation experiments, the results show that it canimprove the mixing effect of mixed feeding device.if it can be used widely in practicalprojects,there is no doubt that it can improve the effect of coagulation—floceulationand decrease the operating cost.
