The limit equilibrium method and finite element analysis method are currently the main method of slope stability analysis. Finite element method includes finite element strength reduction and FE slope method based on slip stress. Limit equilibrium method assumes that the soil as a rigid body, does not consider the real stress-strain relationship of soil, and the stress analysis is lack in precision for some assumptions; Although the finite element strength reduction method overcome some shortcomings of the limit equilibrium method, But it only assumes that the slope is in a state of limit equilibrium, then calculates the safety factor of slope through the stress analysis, and academia still has not reached a unified understanding for criteria of slope failure up to now.In view of the above shortcomings, this article makes some improvements for FE slope method based on slip stress on the basis of the slope stability analysis method, artificial intelligent algorithm and the latest research progress, which improves the computational efficiency and range of applications. On slope stability analysis, the specific research work is summarized as follows:(1) The paper introduces the method of calculation of the slope safety factor for specified slip surface, the search technology of critical slip surface, and analysis of the difference between the advantages and disadvantages of the various calculation methods.(2) Soil has a complex stress-strain relationship, in practical geotechnical engineering. Elastic-perfectly plastic model and non-linear elastic model which are commonly used, can not reflect the actual constitutive relationship of soil well. In the ABAQUS secondary development platform, this paper uses Nanshui model as a constitutive model of soil, carries on the second development program, and then verifies the reliability of the program.(3) The safety factor of the specified sliding surface has been calculated from limit equilibrium method. According to the ant colony optimization algorithm, the global minimum safety factor and the critical slip surface crack have been searched. At the same time, a complete ant colony optimization algorithm program has been developed in C++language, which is based on the slope stability analysis.(4) This study has been applied to two slope examples. Compared with other methods, the results show that:the method proposed in this paper is feasible, and computational procedure is reliable.Through the research, it provides a new and effective method of calculation for the complex slope stability analysis.
