Concrete is a most widely used structure material.Due to its advantage such as economical and been shaped easily, it is always been used in water conservancy、transportation and some other huge national infrastructure,even in the national defense engineer. The unreasonable design,undemanding control in the construction process,and some other natural condition, Like some other building materials, the quality of concrete material will gradually degradation.To make it safe, the bridge’s health detecting is very important.In many structures,we usually design them as a cylinder shape based on the demand for the bearing capacity and outlook,such as the bridge piers, the building of the constructional column and so on, its quality is directly related to the bearing capacity and durability of the whole structure. Some honeycomb, empty, the crack disease appeared in these structure will reduce the life of the structure, so for this kind of special shape of concrete structure,the detection is a very important issue. Impact-echo method is a very efficient nondestructive way to detect the inward defect in the concrete,according to the impact-echo’s principle,the Japanese experts had created the iTECS in2000,it is a multi-function nondestructive testing system that can detect structures thickness, inner cavity, defect at the same time and same site integration.We have used this kind of technology to detect some bridge piers in Chengde and Beijing area, through matlab signal data processing,we have compared the advantages and disadvantages between fourier transform and maximum entropy spectrum method,and make their applicability range clearly.To simulate the elastic wave in the propagation of the concrete columns by using the finite element software, we have concluded the abnormal data features if there exist a defect in cylinder,so as to guide the NDT proposed evaluation standard in this shape of component. At the same time in the numerical simulation of the process, as a cube stones for the standard, we have done a sensitivity analysis including the size of meshes and the length of contact time and the distance between the receivers,through analysis influence factors of experiment date, to provide the reference about how to set the simulation input parameters.
