In recent years, many companies and universities has dedicated to the study ofthe hybrid vehicle driving motor and has made certain achievements, somecompanies now in mass production and put into use.Due to the lack of motorresearchment, automotive industry can not be made the performance requirementsof vehicle for driving motor explicitly. Therefore, a lot of production driving motor cannot to meet the needs of the vehicle In teims of hybrid electric vehicle driving motormatching, conventional matching method and driving cycle matching method aremajor combined to motor parameters matching at domestic.The actual operationalstatus of hybrid electric vehicle can not be true reflected due to the driving cycles ofthe driving cycle matching method are all typical urban drivingcycles.Therefore,motor performance parameters matched by the conventionalmatching method and driving cycle matching method can not reasonably meet theneeds of the vehicle.This paper starting from the Real-World driving cycle to studythe parameter matching of the driving motor for hybrid electric vehicle, propose theperformance requirements of vehicle for driving motor, and study the main motorstructure parameters.Two questions of how we can match the driving motor whichmeet the vehicle requirements and how to achieve the matched driving motor aresolved.The paper includes the following aspects:1)The application and parameter matching status of the driving motor for homeand abroad hybrid electric vehicle are understand generally, the main parametersmatching method of driving motor for home and abroad hybrid electric vehicle areexpatiateed,and finally the parameters matching method of this paper is poposed.2)The Real-World driving cycle datas of hybrid electric bus are gathered, and the irrational factors of the driving motor for original vehicle are obtained through theanalysis of distribution of the motor Real-World operating points, also theperformance parameters of the drive motor are re-matched by the distribution of themotor Real-World operating points.The performance requirements of the vehicleelectric bus for driving motor are poposed, which is divided into the requirements ofthe steady-state performance and dynamic performance.Peak parameters arematched according to dynamic indicators, rated parameters are matched accordingto the motor Real-World operating point and the principle of highest of the efficiencyfor motor operating points, and the best matching parameters are obtained throughgenetic algorithm optimization. Motor’s high efficiency zone is matched according tothe efficiency characteristic requirements of the vehicle for driving motor, and theperformance parameters that meet the requirements of the vehicle are obtainedfinally.3)Ansoft finite element analysis software is introduced Briefly, and the motormain structural parameters are studied depend on the permanent magnetsynchronous motor of Prius.The relationship between the main structuralparameters and performance parameters of the motor by analyzing the influencefactors of motor external characteristics, efficiency characteristics, partial loadingcharacteristics, temperature rising characteristics, response of speed and torque,which provide the basis for the structural parameters design of the motor.4)The main structural parameters of the motor are designed according to themotor performance parameters matched under Chapter II, the relationship betweenmain structural parameters and performance parameters of the motor by using theAnsoft finite element analysis software. The final motor design plan is obtainedthrough the preliminary design and three times optimized design of the motor. Thematched motor performance parameters and the designed motor performanceparameters are compared through the simulation of the motor design plan, which isto test the matched motor performance parameters can be achieved. 5)The simulation model of vehicle is builded by using Cruise and simulated bycombining the control strategy model that builded in Matlab/Simulink environment.Dynamics and economy simulation are made according to the three differentReal-World driving cycles of light load, middle load and high load. Dynamics andfuel economy of the original vehicle and motor re-matched vehicle are compared,and the distribution of the Real-World operating points are also be analyzed. Theresults display that dynamics of the motor re-matched vehicle according to the threedifferent Real-World driving cycles are reduced, but still fulfiled the dynamic index.Fuel economy is increased that the100kilometers fuel consumption decreased atall three Real-World driving cycles. The operating points in the high Efficiency zeroare significantly increased.
