Automotive shock absorber is an important component of damping in suspensionsystem,and its performance effects fide security and comfort of vehicle significantly.Nowtraditional passive hydraulic shock absorber remains the most popular type in suspensionsystem of vehicle,and it has some limitations for example,low critical velocity,possibledistortion of outer performance, large concussion. With the development ofactive-suspension and semi-active suspension technology,design and development ofadjustable-damping shock absorber is pay more and more attention.The thesis took researchon a separated and air-charged adjustable damping shock absorber which has been appliedgradually in foreign,and it has large range of load adjustability and also improve overallperformance remarkably because of adopting air-charged technology.analyzing its structureand working principle,researching its performance characteristics,and grasping its designtechnology is significant for improving research level independently of indigenousvehicle-used shock absorber products.This paper first introduces the current development of the separate manually adjustableshock absorber and it’s superiority compared with the other shock absorber, after clearresearch objectives, study the structural characteristics of the separate manually adjustabledamper and how it works, and analysis of its key componentscharacteristics and workcharacteristics of the law so that provide a theoretical basis for the establishment of theshock absorber mathematical model.Then combined with the theory of fluid mechanics to establish the shock absorbermathematical model, at the same time, get test data and curves of separate manuallyadjustable shock absorber damping characteristics by bench test. Use MATLAB tosimulation the characteristic curve of the speed of the shock absorber on the basis of themathematical model, based on the build shock absorbers mathematical model and its underlying assumptions. The simulation curves and experimental curves were compared toverify the correctness and accuracy of the model. Further simulation and analysis affect ofparts of structural changes on the damping characteristics. In order to provide a theoreticalbasis to structural parameters designing and vehicle damping matching.Finally, put forward rehabilitation programs of separate manually adjustable dampingshock absorber, against binoculars shock absorber for the mini-cars, and processing of sucha shock absorber providing a hardware foundation for the vehicle damping matching study.
