The assembled camshaft is a new type of camshaft production technology, andhas rapidly development and widely application in recent years; its connectiontechnology has become an important research topic. The assembled camshaft hasbetter product design, material compatibility and performance optimization, complywith the requirements of modern automotive technology.At present, assembled camshaft has many different connecting types and eachtype of connection technology has certain advantages and disadvantages. This articlehas researched V348assembled camshaft hard ball expanding pipe connection;Binding experiments and numerical simulation to analyze the connection strength;Optimized the design and analyzing reliability; Innovative proposed and studied themulti-pass rigid ball expanding connection process; Designed and studied theprinciple and feasibility of the trapezoidal key connection and electromagneticexpansion connection process.Due to mechanical industry for energy saving and environmental protection highrequirements, with the car performance requirements continue to improve, auto partsprocessing technology in flexible processing, lightweight, reliable performance andtrend of development. While the camshaft as a key component of the engine, therefore,the research and development of assembly type cam shaft technology has become avery important topic.The main work and achievements are as follows:(1) Comparative analysis the advantages and disadvantages of several connectingtechnology; Summed up the characteristics of hard ball expanding connectiontechnology; Analysis the hard ball expanding connection process; Analysis cam andshaft tube materials matching; Analysis of the expanding connection elastic-plasticmechanical analysis and finite element method in the plane strain state.(2) Create, analyze and simplify V348camshaft numerical model in pipe expanding connection process; Analyze and optimize select the material model;Research the key technologies of numerical simulation; And compared research V348assembled camshaft reverse experiment and numerical simulation.(3) In this paper, analysis and optimize the influence of cam rounded edges filletradius, initial assembly clearance, amount of interference, thickness of the shaft tubewall and loading speed on connection strength. Theoretical analysis its connectiontorsion strength and fatigue strength.(4) Theory and numerical simulation analysis of multi-pass expandingconnection with hard ball; Select two loading pass expanding connection can optimizethe expanding process and get a better connection reliability.(5) Theoretical analysis the fatigue reliability of knurling connecting assembledcamshaft; Design and study the principle and feasibility of the trapezoidal keyconnection and electromagnetic expansion connection process.In this paper, through the mechanics analysis of expanding assembly camshaft inradial plane, theoretical analysis of expanding connection process with hard ball.Analysis the influence of expanding connection process parameters on connectionquality with numerical method, and provide basis for the connecting process of V348assembly camshaft.
