It is explanation the basic concept of power line loss and the foundation theoretical knowledge. Simply introduced the commonly methods of line loss calculation of the power supply enterprises. Finally expounded some frequently used loss reduction measures of the power supply enterprise.Secondly, this paper puts forward a model of calculating the power distribution network line loss. Used the improvement PSO algorithm to optimize the BP neural network and took the error function of BP neural network as the fitness function to evaluate. By the update of position and speed, realized the optimization of the weight and threshold value of the BP. Tested and simulated the weight and threshold value by the testing sample. In the modeling process, the training samples need FCM clustered and data normalized. Finally, used the Matlab simulated the test sample by the model and took some analysis to the result.At last, according to the characteristics of the large amount of data and the difficult statistical analysis of the power distribution network, Used the SQL2005to design the database and developed the line loss statistical management application by Delphi7, achieved the inquiry, statements, statistical analysis, and other functions of the power distribution line loss calculation.
