With the continuous development of the national economy,the requirements for rail transport became higher and higher, High-speed railway had a rapid development in such a big environment.China manufactured out of the CRH series of high-speed EMU by introduced and absorbed foreign advanced technology. In this paper, CRH2type the starting point for the study leaded to a four-quadrant three-level PWM rectifier control.At the first, introduced the overall situation of CRH2, including the technical characteristics and the adjustments which made to adapted the China’s national conditions, analysised the EMU converter and the basic working principle of the composition.Then, did a detail analysis of its structure and principle for three-level PWM rectifier as the object of study,made a derivation and calculation for main circuit parameters of the system, gave the range of inductance, capacitance and performance parameters of switching devices.At last.analyzed the effect that different parameters of the whole system and verified by computer simulation.In the end,did a detail analysis of the system control strategy, analyzed the fixed switching frequency of the instantaneous current control, made a simulation in Matlab/simulink environment.Stady the effects of traction rectifier operation conditions in a variety of response and stability,got the steady state and dynamic characteristics of this system,demonstrate that this kinds of control methods and parameters has a good running response and robustness,made a foundation for further experiments and researchs. Also did a simulation for the predicted current control method,compared the two methods of control.
