As a critical infrastructure for national economic development, the Electrified Railway plays a vital role in our rail transportation system. As a bridge between power systems and traction load, traction power system assumes the uninterruptible power supply to the electric locomotive. Traction transformer is the core equipment which connects the traction power system and the power system. Traction transformer completes the function of transforming and transmiting power. In order to meet the complex requirements of traction power system, and to reduce the adverse influence of traction power system, the choice of traction transformer’s connection form is essential.This paper firstly established the mathematical model of single-phase wiring, Vv wiring, YNd11wiring, Scott wiring, impedance matching wiring and YNvd wiring traction transformer on the basis of learning the principle, structure and characteristics of these traction transformers, through the simulation comparison determined the superiority of YNvd wiring traction transformer, then the YNvd traction transformer and its deformation wiring traction transformer is emphatically studied.The instability of single-phase load in traction’s load will lead to the asymmetry of three-phase power system and produce negative sequence, harmonic wave and other harmful influence. Whether using what kind of wiring, the harmful influence of negative sequence current on power system cannot be avoided. In order to fundamentally solve the existing problems of electrified railway traction power system, this paper studied the application of YNvd traction transformer and its deformation wiring traction transformer in cophase power supply, and proved its validity through the simulation experiments.
