Seismic landslide is a common earthquake disaster, it happens especially in mountainous and hilly areas. This kind of geological disaster has following characters:uncountable, affect range is wide and the danger is serious. These features turn it to be a harmful disaster to the broad masses’life and the safety of their properties. Studying on the deformation and damage mechanism of slop under the movement of earthquake can help us to take targeted measures, and effectively reduce economic losses caused by the seismic landslide. Therefore, this study has profound practical significance. However, the earthquake engineering scholars generally believe that the horizontal seismic force is the decisive factor that caused the landslip. At the same time, the earthquake that happened in Wenchuan shows the vertical earthquake force has important influence on the destruction of slope and buildings. The essay mainly aimed to explain that the vertical seismic force can not be ignored by doing the shaking table experiment and using numerical simulation. Meanwhile, with the purpose of providing important basis for aseismic design of the slope, the author takes the Qingchuan nest landslide for an example study the deformation and damage mechanism of slop under the movement off earthquake.This paper mainly studied from the following aspects:First, suppose the phenomenon that layered slope is in a steady state under static conditions, and occur sliding instability reaction under the action of vertical vibration of earthquake is the results of level of strength parameters’weaken. Through the bedding slope slide instability experiment and the analysis of the test results, the author draws some conclusions:A. As the vertical vibration acceleration is increased, the reduction value and attenuation range of the friction angle in the bedding slop’s surface are increased. B. The more joints the sliding body has, the more obvious the dimension reduction effects are. This effect will be more obvious if the vertical vibration acceleration is increased.Second, using numerical simulations studied the effects of the three factors which are slop’s high, rock inclination angle and slop angle on the phenomenon of bedding rock slop surface’amplification, and considered the bidirectional seismic force effects at the same time. The effect of slop’s high is remarkable on bedding rock slop surface amplification, especially in the exposed parts of weak interlayer. Rock inclination angle, slope angle has certain effect on acceleration magnified effect, but not very significant. The amplification at the shoulder slope and weak interlayer is most remarkable, and with the increase of the high of slope, slope angle and rock inclination angle, amplification effect become more and more apparent.Third, take Qingchuan nest landslide as the prototype study the landslide failure process through the numerical simulation.
