First of all, the development of steel truss beam and flexible arch railway bridge in China is reviewed in the thesis, and the design and construction scheme of the Jingkaiqu Bridge, a steel truss beam and flexible arch railway bridge, on the Hefei-Fuzhou Railway at South Ring Line in Hefei City, is briefly introduced. A finite element model of the entire bridge is built by using MIDAS/CIVAL2010, a general commercial finite element software, and detailed elements’simulations of all components of the bridge are also illustrated. Structural effects are detailedly calculated under dead load and other construction load correspond to60launching construction stages of the bridge, and the results are compared and analyzed with actual measurement results; deformations and stresses caused by transverse wind load on the maximum cantilever stage during construction are also calculated. Structural effects of loads, including dead load, live train loads, wind loads, temperature variations, lateral sway force of train, braking force of train, uneven settlement force and their necessary combinations are analyzed. The dynamic characteristics are computed using the multiple Ritz vector method. Subsequently, seismic resposes of the bridge are analyzed by using response spectrum analysis method and time history dynamic analysis method, and structural effects of the bridge under combinations of seismic action with dead loads and train live loads are analyzed according to the code. At last, structural effects are analyzed and compared for16types of different tension arrangements of launching construction, and the launching scheme is optimized by synthetically considering the feasibilities of the schemes. By carrying out those works, the author get a comprehensive understand of bridge launching construction method, and both static and dynamic performance of steel truss beam and flexible arch railway bridge. In the mean time, analyzing method of design and construction of long span bridge is generally understood.
