The paper studied the reasons for the resonance failure of traction power supply system to discuss the relationship between the harmonic voltage and harmonic impedance and harmonic current. And then proceed from the harmonic impedance and harmonic current, first analyzes the main factors for the variation of the system harmonic impedance frequency characteristics and impact of the change; and then analyze the harmonic current of traction substation at the locomotive position changes amplification, as well as locomotive location fixed traction network at different positions in harmonic current amplification.To further analyze the relationship of the traction power supply system harmonic voltage and harmonic current and harmonic impedance, this paper established a model of traction power supply system model of harmonious wave source, and a model of electric locomotive. The first harmonic impedance frequency characteristics of the traction power supply system simulation, and analysis of the main factors to affect the system harmonic impedance frequency characteristics change, then the distribution of the harmonic current of the electric locomotives were simulated, and finally combine the traction power supply system and the locomotive, the locomotive position is fixed, traction network throughout the harmonic current harmonic voltage amplification of the simulation; conducted a simulation for the case of the locomotive position change, the traction network throughout the harmonic voltage harmonic current amplification. Discussed on the basis of the analysis, according to domestic and foreign experience, we have an effective method to suppress harmonic current amplification, and inhibition of the effects of the simulation.
