As a new industrial dust removal technology and artificial desertification control measure, the wind fence is gradually favored for good economic and environmental benefits. While the further promotion and more wide application calls for not only further study of mechanisms of wind-break and dust-control to improve the shadowing effect, but also the reducing of the high one-time investment, and the study of the mechanical behavior and design wind load of wind fence structure, as a new structure system under the action of wind load, to ensure the safety of the project.Three aspects of the study are presented in the thesis. Fist of all, the optimization analysis is done, and a structure form with rational internal force distribution and its key parameters are obtained. Then, the wind-induced vibration analysis of a single frame structure is done using frequency domain method, in comparison of the result with the time domain method, and equivalent static wind load is studied with wind vibration coefficient method. And the calculation method of the in-plane first natural vibration period of the frame is given with equivalent mass method. At last, the whole of wind fence structure, different from the above single, is studied to investigate the dynamic characteristics and the wind-induced response.It is found that the triangular plane frame with diagonal braces is a simple and economic wind fence structure. The wind-induced response of the frame is significant and it should be taken into consideration in structural design. In the determining of the wind vibration coefficient referenced to the Chinese code, the in-plane first natural vibration period, vertical with the length extension direction of the wind fence, should be applied, rather than the fundamental period, which is out of the plane. If the influence of the nonuniform distribution of mass and stiffness along the height is neglected, the result is a bit conservative. With consideration of the holed profiled steel sheet, the dynamic characteristics of the whole of the wind fence structure is greatly different with the single structure, but the safety of the project can be ensured by the design of a single structure.
