With the development of global economy, the need of energy becomes more greatly and more eagerly. It is imperative to develop a new generation of energy, so the study of solar cells gets more and more attention. Main types of solar cells are: silicon solar cells, amorphous silicon solar cells, thin film solar cells, dye-sensitized solar cells. This paper mainly studies the dye-sensitized TiO2 solar cells (DSSC). The main content goes as follows:First is the study of Preparation of TiO2 slurry for dye-sensitized solar cells for slurry preparation is necessary for DSSC cells. In order to reduce the number of tests and get the best ratio of parameters, the paper used the orthogonal experimental method, then selected the orthogonal table L9(34) to do the orthogonal experiment. After obtaining the parameters the paper prepared the dye-sensitized nano crystalline TiO2 cells. At the same time, for the performance of the slurry has a direct impact on battery performance, in process of placement the paper made comparison test on whether the performance of the slurry changes or not, whether it has a negative impact on the films or not, and whether the TiO2 slurry performance is stable or not. Then by analyzing the separate usage of stirring and grinding to prepare slurry, the paper tested the performances of those two batteries get from those two kinds of methods, so as to analyze how the preparation methods affect the battery performance.The second is to use TiO2 with nano-flowers and nano-wires structure to prepare the dye-sensitized TiO2 solar cells. In this paper chosing the hydrothermal synthesis method to make TiO2 nano-flowers and TiO2 nano-wires for its low-cost, simple working condition and preparation process, and powder morphology which can be controlled by temperature and time. During the process of experiments, TiO2 nano-flower and TiO2 nano-wires respectively blended with P25 powder with the rate of 25wt% and15wt% to prepared slurry. Then the paper prepared different films of battery by the use of screen printing. The paper used solar battery test equipment to test each types of photovoltaic cell performance after the batteries being made. The thesis mainly focused on the effect of the different coating thickness of TiO2 on dye-sensitized solar cells performance, including the photoelectric conversion efficiency, open circuit voltage, short circuit current, maximum power and fill factor.
