Block is the area surrounded by streets. Blocks provide living space for human. The space pattern of blocks not only relates to culture and planning idea of the city, but also concerns the function they undertake. There are also relations between human activities and the space pattern of blocks. This thesis takes commercial blocks as research object and analyzes their network features by the methods of Social Network Analysis and Complex Network Theory. Moreover, we analyze the network features of customers’mobile paths based on questionnaire survey and the structure relationship between block network and mobile path network. We analyze commercial block networks of Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou and draw some conclusions. (1) The block pattern of traditional commercial district is compact while some blocks’scale in the district is very small. Moreover, the pattern of modern central business district is regular and blocks’scale is very large. The features of block network are affected by the block pattern which is related to block functions. (2) A block connects 5 or 6 other blocks directly in reality. There is a positive correlativity between node degree and node betweenness centrality in all cases. (3) The block networks present small-world properties. (4) The block network is a kind of limited geographical network. Because of the limitation the features of node and whole network show certain properties different from other actual networks. The analysis of mobile paths’network based on survey of 113 interviewees in Wulin commercial district draws several conclusions. (1) The blocks which most interviewees pass and stay are located along main streets. (2) The features of mobile paths’network accord with block network partly, but the holistic conformity is not very high because interviewees choose mobile paths according to their actual requirements. (3) The mobile paths’network reflects small-world properties. But the properties are weaker than that of block network.
