Currently, there are a lot of pneumatic components suppliers have developed a high-performance cushion cylinder which is built-in mechanical structure at home and abroad. But the biggest defect of the ordinary cylinder, high-speed cylinder is a good cushion state of the cylinder by the narrow range of operating conditions change. When any of the parameters changes in the supply pressure of gas source, mass loading or flow rate of the cylinder, the cylinder cushion has been artificially adjusted state would be destroyed. So there are some phenomena which will reduce the cylinder life and work efficiency, such as cylinder crawl, bounce, impact end caps and so on. The self-adjust cushion cylinder could adapt to certain changes in working conditions, but there is a certain distance for mass production applications away from the actual. So it is very critical to research the cushion performance changes caused by changing of working conditions.This subject deeply studies the influence of cushion performance caused by the mass loading changes, analysis the cushion cylinder by simulations and experiments, describes the mechanism of the cushion performance destruction due to the load changes, and then raised the load changes self-adjust cushion cylinder program.This topic establishes the energy, flow and movement mathematical modeling of the cushion cylinder based on the gas dynamics and makes the theoretical basis for the simulation and experimental analysis of the cushion cylinder.The topic solves the mathematical model of the cushion based on Runge-Kutta method programming using Delphi to get the movement curves of the cylinder displacement, velocity, acceleration and pressures of each chamber under different structural parameters of the cushion cylinder.In this topic, we built experiment table to test the cushioning properties of the cushion cylinder, design cylinder cushioning performance data collection procedures according to input and output mathematical relations of each sensor based on the Matlab RTW module. The topic studies and analyzes the impact of load changes on the cushioning performance of the common cushion cylinder and the high speed cylinder by experiments, gets the movement change curves of the cylinder displacement, velocity, acceleration and pressures of each chamber under different load by a number of experiments, analyzes the phenomenon such as crawling, shock, severe rebound by different cushion state of cylinder, makes the theoretical derivation and experimental calculation of the cylinder cushion energy, and raises the program of self-adjust cushion cylinder which load changes within a certain range.
