In Ming and Qing Dynasties, traditional timber-framed structure technology has matured in many aspects,such as structure、construction methods and technology.And become the creation embodied the spirit of traditional Chinese creation. This article leam from Western tectonic theory,using sketchup to build3D models,study mortise-tenon joint in architecture, decoration, furniture of Ming and Qing Dynasties as a starting point to explore the connecting arts and constructed beauty of traditional wooden structure. Find some inspiration in the traditional wooden structure, which can deepen understanding of the traditional wooden structure, and get benefits to design practice as well.
