With the lightweight aggregate concrete is widely used in engineering constructionincreasingly, the research of lightweight aggregate concrete has become a new importantdirection in the field of concrete research. In allusion to the problem existenting on thecomputing method of local compression bearing capacity in the “Technical specificationfor lightweight aggregate concrete”(JGJ12-2006), this paper proceed a series ofexperiments and analysis. The first chapter introduces the research background, the situation at home andabroad and the research contents of this paper. The lightweight aggregate concreteresearch is not systematic at home and abroad, there are still many details to be furtherexplored and research. The second chapter briefly introduces lightweight aggregate, lightweight aggregateconcrete, the require of local compression bearing capacity computing and indirectreinforcement decorate in the current specifications. The third chapter is the focus of this paper. The formula does not take into accountthe hole influence on the local compression of lightweight aggregate concrete in thestandard, so made12lightweight aggregate concrete specimens and insert the PVCplastic pipe on the axis position of the specimens. Through to local compression test, thepaper analyzes the hole size and the local compression area ratio influence on theperformance of the lightweight aggregate concrete local compression. Because theformula does not take into account the core area influence on the local compression oflightweight aggregate concrete in the standard, paper made eight specimens, divided intotwo groups, a group have spiral indirect reinforcement, another group have grid indirectreinforcement, through to local compression test, paper analyzes pressure plates size, reinforcement form, core area sizes influence on the performance of the lightweightaggregate concrete local compression bearing capacity. The fourth chapter is the conclusion.
