With the development of our national economy, retaining automobile is increasing rapidly, urbanization is carrying on and urban population is growing sharply. Nowadays, motor vehicle has become an indispensable means of transport. The increase of vehicle brings people convenience, and at the same time, traffic jam phenomenon is also serious, which has hindered the economic development and social progress in our country. How to deal with traffic bottleneck, make full use of energy sources and make the traffic promote the development of our cities and economy has been the hot and important points in the research of traffic flow. Therefore, it’s urgent and important to do research on the effects of traffic and traffic energy consumption made by the individual behavior characteristics and overall macro behavior characteristics of traffic moves in complex road conditions and blocking formation mechanism and spread rules of traffic flow.Traffic flow is a multi-agent complex system which is made up of flexible and interactional moving vehicle. And the vehicle motion is extremely complicated and inconstant, which brings great difficulties to the research. Cellular Automata has widely been used to the simulation research of traffic flow.Considering the effects that visibility made on traffic flow in real life and the condition of the two-lane traffic flow that one side of the road is heavy while the other one is light, corresponding Cellular Automaton Model will be built.This paper introduces the process of Vehicle traffic flow by computer simulation and probes into factors which make effects on traffic flow and related questions about energy consumption of vehicle traffic flow.The main content of this work can be summarized as following:1. Take the effects of visibility on the drivers driving behavior into account. Cellular Automata traffic flow model will be built to restrict driving behavior in the areas which can be influenced by visibility. And the analysis of the effects of produced probability and loss probability and visibility made on each section of roads and systematic traffic flow.2. In this chapter, simulation investigations of systematic traffic flow which has different evolution behaviors in two-lane roads and various speed will be showed based on Cellular Automaton Model. The models divide vehicle into two kinds, the express and the local, according to driving characteristics of different personalities. And it also does research on the effects of traffic flow and traffic energy consumption made by generated probability, loss probability, lane-changing probability and mix proportion of speed car regardless of boundary conditions.3. Considering the effects of road facilities made on the practical movement of vehicle, aiming at the traffic in the city in the rush hour and the condition that one side of the road is heavier while the other one is not, Cellular Automaton Model of mixed traffic flow which has mobile traffic barriers of two-way four-lane will be set up. And under the periodic boundary condition and with different initial density of both sides of roads and the mixing ration of vehicle, the research on the influence of the length of mobile traffic barriers on every subsystem and system will be given.Finally, a conclusion and summary on above work are given and some problems to be researched further are pointed out. And the author also makes prospects for further researches on traffic flow in the future.
