The disc bolt is a new heterotype bolt. It is characterized by larger anchoring force, anchoring section’s force uniform and smaller displacement. Moreover, its anchoring plates’number, diameter and space can be flexibly adjusted to adapt to different types of rock anchor engineering. In this paper, the three methods of laboratory test, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis will be used to study the theory of disc bolt. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:1. The Similarity Theory was used to prove the feasibility of the study method of the laboratory pull-out test that it can simulate the mechanical characteristics, displacement size, failure mode and work mechanism in practical geotechnical engineering.2. Through the comprehensive analysis of the data obtained from the laboratory test and numerical analysis, we can summarize the characteristics between anchoring force and different anchoring factors, reveal the load-displacement law and the load transfer law of the disc bolt in the pull-out process and construct the disc blot’s failure mode at different depths. The consistency of the results of the two study methods indicates their correctness.3. Based on the perforted disc, this paper assumes a specific geometry of the failure mode and establishes a three-dimensional calculating method of the disc bolt anchoring force.
