The problems of negative, reactive power, harmonics and crossing neutral section which exist in existing electrified railway traction power supply system in china restrict the improvement of railway high speed and over loading. Cophase power supply system solves the problems of the existing traction power supply system. So it conforms to the trend of electrified railway development. Through load process simulation of the cophase power supply system, the power supply indicators and integrated power flow controller’s (IPFC) output power can be verified under different supply patterns, operation modes and compensation modes, which provide scientific basis for the design of cophase power supply system.In this paper, the structure of IPFC and the balanced transformation principle are discussed. Using satisfactory optimization compensation theory, the IPFC’s capacity model and power quality model of the cophase power supply system differentiated by traction transformer connection are derived. The impacts of access phase sequence of traction transformer and IPFC’s type on IPFC’s capacity is analyzed. Without taking the compensation harmonic into account, four kinds of compensation model and the corresponding compensation degree calculation methods are proposed.The IPFC’s mathematical modeling is proposed. Based on the general equivalent circuit of existing traction substation, the general equivalent circuit of cophase traction substation is derived, of which thevenin equivalent circuit is solved. By use of parallel multi-conductor transmission line theory and the chain network structure, universal simulation models of cophase power supply system have been established based on the substation and the entire line, of which the corresponding flow calculation methods are proposed.Base on the Visual C++2005.Net development platform and traction power supply system simulation software, copase power supply system simulation software has been developed, which uses the universal simulation model based on the substation. The software can be used in multi-train dynamic operation simulation based on run-map, alse has single-train, single-short, Interval-train, interval-short calculations functions and so on, which Provide strong support for the study of the traction network voltage and rail potential distribution law.Finally, by modeling and simulation of a normal speed electrified railway, the simulation results of the cophase power supply system under different compensation modes are got, which are compared with the simulation results of the existing traction power supply system. The simulation results indicate that the four kinds of compensation mode and the universal simulation models of cophase power supply system are correct. This software could be applied to cophase power supply system simulation analysis.
