In photovoltaic power generation system, the conversion efficiency of the grid-connected inverter is a very important indicator. It has great significance to reduce the losses and enhance the efficiency of grid-connected inverter under the conditions of high switching frequencyBased on the analyzes of the topology structure for the single-phase inverter and three-phase inverter, the loss calculation models of the inverter are established using sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and space vector modulation (SVPWM) strategies respectively. The lose calculation methods of the three-phase grid-connected inverter are given, include switching losses, conduction losses and filter circuit losses. The ways to improve the conversion efficiency of the inverter are also analyzed.The inverter simulation model of the loss is established using MATLAB/SIMULINK, and the influence on inverter efficiency of two modulation strategies is compared.An experimental platform is build, the efficiency using two modulation strategies is measured respectively. The results demonstrate the validity of theoretical analysis and the simulation result.
