There are often accompanied by the generation of dust in the process of industrialproduction, transportation of bulk materials, causing the air pollution of the workplaceenvironment. Living in the environment polluted by dust will have a great harm not only onhealth of cardiovascular and respiratory tract, but also on health of skin. Controlling thegeneration of dust in the production process is an important link to ensure the safety ofproduction, workers health and environmental quality. In recent years, industrial sectors and legalprofessions of many countries in the world attach great importance to the dust pollution, agrowing number of research scholars and environmentalists investments in the mechanism andcontrol of dust pollution. The characteristic of the motion of particle dust in the ambient air is oneof the important tasks in the artificial environment control. Researching characteristics of motionof free drop particles plumes under the circumstance of different wind speed, and couplingmechanism of particles and environment air, could provide a basis of ventilation dust suppressionand artificial control environment, etc.This article assessed yellow sand, SiO2and Nacl, and discussed different particles under thechanged weed-speed circumstance by the method of experiment research and numericalsimulation. By adopting ANSYS CFX, this article used k-e turbulent model to analogouscalculated the impact of different wind speed, different particle size, different initial whereaboutscaliber, and different particle size on flow Field Characteristic in free fall. In the course of theexperiment, by adopting the parallel wind provided by Wind air-room test bench and using HighSpeed Digital-Cram to shoot movement locus of particle on the way down with follow, andISIGHT-3G software to analyze the picture, then it can obtain the impact law of different windspeed, different particle size, different initial whereabouts caliber, and different particle size onflow Characteristic.The results of the study showed: the speed of particles flow would increase with increase ofthe falling height in free fall, and when particles flow increased to a particular point, the flowspeed tended towards stability; the offset distance of particles flow would increase with increaseof the falling height, and the growth rate reduced with increase of the falling height; with theambient wind speed increases, the particle flow velocity increases, particle stream offset distanceincreases; with increasing particle size, the particle velocity decreases, particle flow offsetdistance decreases; with the increasing of particle density, particle velocity decreases, the offsetdistance of the particle stream decreases; with the increasing of particulate flow initial diameter,the particle velocity decreases at the initial of the early free fall, when the particle stream to reach a certain height of the drop, the effect of particulate flow velocity of become smaller, the offsetdistance of the particle stream decreases with the increase of initial whereabouts of the caliber ofthe particle stream.
