In recent years, In order to make full use of disperse energy resources and improve utilitypower system reliability, the new technology of the distributed renewable energy generationwith good development prospects and energy utilization has grown up in the power industry.It has brought significant progress in the power industry, at the same time also caused a hugeimpact on the traditional power system, including the impact of voltage and power loss of thedistribution system.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the concepts, classifications, advantages anddisadvantages of several typical distributed renewable energy generation technologies. Thenthe impacts of DG on distribution network such as power loss and node voltages, isresearched theoretically and simulated. The voltage and power loss of distribution networkwith DG was calculated using MATPOWER software. Combining with the location andcapacity of DG incorporated into the distribution network, a series of simulations was done.The author concludes the capacity and location condition of DG influence on voltage andpower loss of distribution network.Secondly, this paper briefly introduces the basic principles and optimal processes ofbasic particle swarm optimization and hybrid particle swarm algorithm. Then the paperanalyzes reactive power optimization problem in distribution system with wind powergenerators. The active power output of the wind power generators is calculated by theprobability of running state,and the expectations of active power are used to replace therandomly changing output.Lastly, reactive power optimization algorithm in network with distributed renewableenergy based on hybrid particle swarm algorithm is proposed in this paper. Power loss andstatic voltage stability margin are taken into consideration,reactive power optimizationmathematical model including distributed power generation system is constructed. Hybridparticle swarm algorithm applied for optimal reactive power is evaluated on16-nodedistribution system and American PG&E69-bus power system. It is shown that the proposedapproach converges to better convergence and precision. Distributed generation resources caneffectively reduce the power loss and improve voltage stability. The research provides areference value for the grid-connected operation of distributed generation resources.Studies have shown that distributed generation systems incorporated into power systemreasonably and optimizing the reactive power of distribution systems can make a good use ofletting the DG play a positive role in power system.
