The paper mainly discusses the design problems of the urban viaduct landscape.Urban viaduct appears with the process of the development of urbanization. It decreasesthe pressure of the city transportation; however, it also brings the negative effect thatcannot be ignored to the landscape along it, which even impacts the existing urbangeographical and human features. With the continuous development of urbanization andthe gradual expansion of city scale, which causes the city traffic volume increased, andthe quantity and the scale of the construction of the viaduct will increase incorresponding. Therefore, how to make sure the basic function of the viaduct, to easethe pressure on urban transport, and create a dynamic traffic transfer station under theunaffected precondition, tries to build the practical and artistic viaducts and to protectthe ecological environment in surroundings which will be an issue that explored andsolved in the development of the city.This paper analyses a large mount of data of the surveys, and compares the cases ofinstance based on the theoretical understanding and empirical cognitive. The thesis firstexplores the characteristics of the viaduct landscape under the action of the urbanlandscape, and explains the nature of the viaduct landscape deeply, then proposes theexisting problems of the viaduct landscape. According to the correspondingcharacteristics of the problem put forward the principles and solutions of dealing withthe viaduct landscape. The paper is constructed logically in accordance with the process,raise issues, analyze problems, solve topics and practice test. The focus of this study iscomb the relationships between the urban viaducts and the city visual landscape underthe assurance of the safety and smooth of the transportation, make new understanding ofthe architectural image of the sites in environment concept, and achieve the maximizebenefits, as well as the research of the viaduct reach ability and reconcilability to supplythe guidance of the viaduct landscape design.For these reasons, the paper first summarized the concept and quality of theviaducts and on this basis, combines activity and inertia, dimension and psychology, theelements like that, analyzed the problems and current status of viaduct landscape. Thefocal point is that to discuss the remediation of the landscape space through the viaductitself, the landscape along the viaduct line, plants landscaping and lighting etc.; finallycombines these researches, claims that the viaduct space development should focus onlong-term project and humanistic care.
