The Wind turbine from design, manufacturing to installation, operation, maintenance and overhaul have many aspects. Any part of the deviation will cause device performance degradation or failure. There must be have a fully functional online monitoring system in order to ensure the reliability of wind turbine’s running and all the times monitoring of the wind turbine operating conditions.This paper describes that monitoring system of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system is developed by LABVIEW.The features of this system include: network communication based TCP, data acquisition, data processing, data storage, the design of alarm system, history inquiries and the design of the monitoring interface.The data processing, including time-domain analysis, spectrum analysis, cepstrum analysis,3D waterfall plot and the state parameter trend analysis. The LABVIEW have an unparalleled advantage in the field of test and measurement application, it not only has the function of graphical programming and also provides a number of modular functions, reduce the difficulty of the procedure developed, but also shorten the application development cycle, greatly improve the efficiency of program development.This condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system has been applied in engineering and has successfully forecast the fault of the wind turbine’s gearbox.
