Steel reinforced concrete frame usually composed by steel reinforced concrete columnand steel beam.we use reinforced concrete column because the column usually underthe great vertical force and horizontal force. In order to reduce weight, we choosesteel beams. The profile steel in the column and the steel beam connected in the jointof the steel reinforced concrete frame, and it is hard to locate the stirrups. We oftenneed to drill the steel beam. In this way, not only the steel beam weakened, but alsocause the stress concentration, the construction quality is very difficult to guarantee. Ifwe can guarantee the shear-carrying capacity of the joint and reduce the stirrup, wewill greatly reduce the difficulty in construction, and also ensure the constructionquality.Based on the above situation, this paper takes the joint stirrup ratio for variables, made seven steel beam-steel reinforced concrete column components (joint stirrupratio from0%to2%), and test the mechanical properties of these components in highaxial compression ratio condition (axial compression ratio between0.6and0.8). Through the analysis of the experimental results, the author puts forward theadjustment suggestions on parameter selection of steel beam-SRC column jointshear-carrying capacity calculation in two existing industry standard: SRC structuretechnology procedures (JGJ138-2001) and the steel reinforced concrete structuretechnology procedures (YB9082-2006). We also found that the steel beam-SRCcolumn joint components whose joint stirrup ratio are less than standard requirementstill have enough shear bearing capacity and good ductility in high axial compressionratio (the axial compression ratio between0.6to0.7). The main function of the stirrupin such joint is constraint the reinforcement and the concrete, but not to increase thelimited shear-carrying capacity. We can extend the biggest stirrup spacing in thesejoint to200mm or10d (d for column longitudinal reinforcement diameter, take thesmaller one of two value).
