With energy-saving and emission reduction being advocated nationwide at present, ground-source heat pump, especially ground coupled heat pump, has gradually been accepted by various regions of the whole country due to its low carbon, green, clean and sustainable characteristics. Researchers from many universities and research institutes have done a large amount of work on it. What’s more, experimental platforms have been setting up in many parts of the country to establish the demonstration bases of ground coupled heat pump.Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which enjoys abundant coal resources and consumes huge fossil energy, has experienced rapid economic and made great construction achievements in recent years. However, great cost on resources and environment has been paid for and a series of serious problems has arisen. The air pollution of Urumqi, in North Xinjiang, belongs to heavy pollution grade particularly in winter. Facing the grim situation, people turn to fix their eyes on the ground coupled heat pump, a new type of cold and heat sources. This thesis takes Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as the research region. The research contents and methods can be summarized into the following four aspects. Firstly, it analyses the energy carrier, i.e. the specific properties of ground and the principle of ground coupled heat pump comprehensively, and then, on the basis of this analysis and the actual regional characteristics of Xinjiang, the favorable natural conditions to apply the ground coupled heat pump are identified. Secondly, the quasi three-dimensional heat transfer model is established and the literature reviewed; according to the recorded data of pilot well under the typical ground coupled heat pump project, the major factors influencing the heat transfer of the U type tube heat exchanger in drilling are analyzed in order to indentify the main parameters to apply the technology in areas of Xinjiang. Thirdly, on the basis of the calculation method recommended in the "technical code for ground-source heat pump system"(GB50366-2005) and the typical ground coupled heat pump project of Xinjiang, the heat exchanger design, construction technology and some other problems to be studied are demonstrated.Fourthly, the research employs the fuzzy comprehensive decision method of the fuzzy mathematics to establish the comprehensive evaluation decision system of ground coupled heat pump. Then, the system is used to evaluate one typical built project in Xinjiang, and the results obtained are in agreement with the actual operation. Thus, the research provides basis for further studies on the application of ground coupled heat pump in Xinjiang.
