Ancient Chinese architecture is an important part of Chinese civilization. It also has avery high cultural value and tourist value. Over time, by all kinds of natural factors andhuman reasons, ancient Chinese architecture has different damage. In order to keep cultureheritage, we need first to build scientific evaluation, and then repair them scientifically.Along with the science and technology and the development of social economy, thescientific research of ancient architecture at present has increasingly widely concerned.Nondestructive testing technology which conforms to the requirements of the ancientbuilding detection had been developed. Environment vibration test technology is one of thenondestructive testing technology. It can be very good for testing to assess the structures’safety and seismic performance. The goal of this paper is to study the dynamic properties of Yanshange in Ke Garden inDongguan, which is good for its repairment and maintenance. The following several aspectsof work had been mainly completed:1.Several modal parameter identification methods are discussed. The study is focusedon pick-peaking.2. Using large finite element software ANSYS to numerical modeling of structure, including material parameters selecting, the establishment of geometry model, the meshingof the finite element, modal analysis, etc. In order to observe more conveniently and savecalculation time, the model had been simplified. We get the simplified modelⅠand thesimplified modeⅡ, and extract the model parameters.3. Introduce the environment dynamic test, identify modal parameters.4.We simplified the simplified modelⅠbased on the method of Frequency ChangeRatio, using experimental data and modal parameters extracted from the model. And theresult fits well. With a damage identification method based on frequency, we simplify thesimplified modelⅡ andidentify the damage of the structure. The process of the finite element model can provide a reference for the similarstructure modeling. The finite element model also can be used as the structure’s long-termhealth monitoring.
